After Patricia and I returned from our mission trip, I read some very disturbing news articles texted from a dear brother who lives in Georgia.
It’s baffling that many leaders in our government know that the government is saturated with evil and corruption and that these things make matters worse for our country, and yet they do nothing about them. I believe it’s because our government leaders on all levels no longer see America as “one nation under God.” See Psalm 33:12a.
That’s because some leaders are practicing atheists and some personal atheists, both of which align themselves with communist ideologies which give birth to socialism. A curious point, from my observation, is that homosexuals seem to be leading the way. I believe Romans 1:24-32 addresses this. I also see a veiled reference to this in Gen. 6:5,11-12 and
2 Thess. 2:11-12. I agree with a number of Bible teachers that America is under God’s judgment, causing most of our political leaders to be lethargic. To be honest, it’s not easy for me to pray for them, even though I know I should (2 Tim. 2:1-2). In the Old Testament, God’s people had gotten so corrupt that God told Jeremiah not to pray for them
(Jer. 7:16; 14:11).
A dear brother’s response:
“I don’t see homosexuals as leading the way, but all people who are unbelievers. LGBTQ is getting a lot of media coverage and is represented in most TV shows, so it is in our faces all of the time. I think the sin of lying (liars) is leading the way. Blatant lying has become more and more acceptable in modern American society. It seems that tolerance for truth is unpopular. People are lying about everything. In fact, Psalms 58:3 states, that the wicked are estranged from the womb; They go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies. The first sin in this world involved a lie told to Eve. Not enough emphasis is given to calling out the blatant liars. Just my two cents.”
My response:
Your is an excellent point. I agree that “the lie” is the leading cause, and homosexuals are in part the effects. They deny their own gender reality, believing “the lie” (2 Thess. 2:11). They have infiltrated our governments of all levels and promoted their lies in all our institutions, even the churches. They’re unaware they’re following the “father of lies” (John 8:44). You’re correct. Lies are leading the way, and I believe the homosexuals are on their heels. All truth comes from God, but men apart from God are all liars (Rom. 3:4). Thanks for your insights. 👍🏾❤️
