What Believers Tend to Overlook

Believers tend to overlook (1) the importance of the truth of God’s Word, (2) it’s impact on our lives, (3) a fervent prayer life, (4) being filled with the Holy Spirit, and (5) fulfilling the Great Commission. Because of that, they focus more on secular things, and thus engage in compromising with the world, the flesh, and the devil. That’s why church services and so-called revivals are shallow and more entertaining. Now, our country is in a mess, and the church is too powerless to make an impact. The words of the Apostle Paul come to mind: “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time”(1 Timothy 2:1-6). May God help us to comply with His Word.

Blessings!
