Virus or Not, God is Worthy to be Praised

Oh, how God is so faithful to each of us and our families. It’s like He has put us in the land of “Goshen” (Exodus 9:26), where the Israelites were protected from the plagues God sent upon of Egypt. There was no danger nor fear, as long as God’s people remained there. So it is with us. Goshen symbolizes God’s protection for His own while “Egypt” (the world) is full of panic, confusion, and turmoil. As believers, we trust our God and apply wisdom to avoid COVID-19 (i.e., stay in Goshen). That means, on the natural side, we bathe, wash clothes, sanitize our hands, drink lots of water, avoid unnecessary skin-to-skin contact with folks outside our immediate family, avoid crowds, eat healthy foods (fruit & vegetables) with good supplements (Omega 3, zinc, and Ester C in my case), etc. On the spiritual side, we constantly pray, confess our sins and repent, desire to be filled with the Holy Spirit, read God’s Word, worship and thank Him based on what we read, commit ourselves to obey His Word, and claim His strength and wisdom. Pat and I worshipped with our congregation by way of Livestream today. We’ll do the same tomorrow. At all times, crisis or not, God is worthy to be praised.

Blessings!
