Virtual Reality

Defining the word “perspectives” when it’s prefaced with “Christian,” “biblical,” or even using the words “Godly virtues” are all subjective expressions because they are always opened to different interpretations. Those impressive terms are embraced by JW’s, Mormons, LGBT advocates, and even some Muslims. In our postmodern era, words have been “robbed” of their denotation and skillfully “reloaded” with connotations. So, while we use the same words, we can mean different things. That’s why many (unfortunately some Christians included) believe all words are culturally defined (and/or conditioned) feel justified to deny absolutes. Thus, they invent their own “reality” (or virtual reality) which is an especially dangerous practice, especially for political leaders. People outside the “reality” of Hitler’s, Mao Tse tung’s, Stalin’s, ISIS’s, etc. world were exterminated. In Buttigieg’s “reality,” he can use impressive words, but outside of his virtual world, the extermination of all his opponents, including the unborn. Proverbs 26:24-26 seems to describe leaders of all stripes. May God help us as believers be strong and wise in this fallen world led by Satan’s political henchmen.

Blessings.
