Truths About God

God’s primary attributes are omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence.

God’s nature is spiritual (John 4:24)

God’s character is Holy, that is, sinless/perfect (Leviticus 11:45)

God can never lie (Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18)

God abides “in” eternality (timelessness) and lack of space

God created the heavens and the earth, space and time (history)

God created spiritual beings called angels (Psalm 148:2, 5)

He created them before the earth was created (Job 38:4-7)

One of them (Lucifer) lead a rebellion against God (Isa. 14:12-15)

Lucifer was expelled from God’s presence and fell from heaven (Luke 10:18)

God created two humans, a male and a female, in His own image (intellect, emotion, and free will)

God’s evaluation of His original and natural creation was “very good” (Genesis 1:31)

God reveals Himself by His creation (Psalm 19:1-6; Romans 1:18-20) and Scripture (Psalm 19:7-11; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

God, holy and sovereign, had to judge the two humans because of their disobedience

Their disobedience (Sin) brought death into the world (Romans 5:12)

God, gracious and merciful, also implemented his foreordained plan to save man (Genesis 3:15)

Salvation would come through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who was foreknown (1 Peter 1:20)

God eventually sent His eternal Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to save men from Sin (John 3:16)

God’s requirement for salvation is not human effort to measure up to God’s standards (Ephesians 2:9)

God’s requirement for salvation is believing in Jesus Christ (John 3:18; 8:23; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

God will determine when old-earth time ends, and new earth time begins (2 Peter 3:10; Revelation 21:1)

Since only God has no beginning nor end, He is the only Person that is truly eternal. No one else nor anything in God’s creation is eternal

Since all created beings (angels and humans) and all other created things have a beginning and an end, they cannot be eternal but exist in temporal time and in eternity (endless time).
