Trusting in Our Sovereign God

It's such a rich blessing to be alive and enjoy each day, realizing that the sovereign God is in control and always will be. That's what I'm constantly aware of while I'm currently with Pat while she's getting her chemo treatment. There are many here for treatment because it's normal for cancer patients to get it. My thought: God is also sovereign over sick people. Some He will heal, and some He won't (Eccl. 3:3a; 2 Cor. 12:7-10). Either way, it's for His glory, and it's precious to Him when a saint departs this life (Ps. 116:15). So, healthy or sick, rich or poor, loved or hated, our sovereign God knows all about it, and knows what to do about it. The important thing for us is to trust Him (Prov. 3:5) and "walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh" (Gal. 5:16). Walking by the Spirit means living with God in control of your life. That is, we must lean on His power to live by His word (Phil. 4:13).

Have a blessed day. 🙏🏾❤️
