True Saints Have the Victory

So much of what I see, read, and hear today reminds me of Romans 1:18-32;

2 Tim. 3. We need to pray much for our country and communities and societies within them, more specifically for our homes, government, schools, healthcare institutions, and businesses. Prayer doesn't necessarily mean things will get better, but it will keep us in tune with the Lord, dependent upon His wisdom and strength, and standing strong on His word. The insanity today is much worse than it was 100 years ago (back then called "The Roaring Twenties") because of the apostate American church and technology. Although sin is rampant, there's no widespread shame about it, no repentance, and therefore, no real revival. Note what Jeremiah 8:12 says, "Were they ashamed because of the abomination they had done? They certainly were not ashamed, And they did not know how to blush; Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; At the time of their punishment they shall be brought down,' says the Lord." Does that not describe our country, indeed our world?

The church has lost its effectiveness as "salt" like those in Revelation 2 & 3. Jesus said, "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men"

(Matthew 5:13). However, I'm confident that the true saints have hope and victory. Jesus also said, "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). The more insanity I see in the world, the more I build my hope on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness and wholly lean on Jesus' name. Be encouraged, my brothers and sisters. We already have the victory (1 Cor. 15:57-58).
