Thank God for Our Existence

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). If this verse is true (it is), then God is the cause of all things existing besides Himself. Therefore, technically speaking, atheists deny their own existence. That’s not only irrational but also impossible. Thus, “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’” (Psalm 14:1). God is the necessary Cause for contingent (dependent) reality. Denying Him is equivalent to believing zero minus zero (none sense). Believing in God is granting that “two” can only be real if one (God) plus one (His creation). Therefore, of all lies, the biggest lie is denying God’s existence (Rom. 3:4). Lying was Satan’s first act (John 8:44). However, lying doesn’t annihilate truth (2 Cor. 13:8). Thus, a negative cannot annihilate a positive. These thoughts are profound yet introductory. Why am I discussing them? So that we can be moved to praise God for the truth that He is the Cause not only for our existence but also for our salvation. Please read 1 Peter 1:1-9. If Genesis 1:1 were not true, you would certainly not be reading this because you wouldn’t exist. Blessings to all who exist.
