God’s special revelation is the Bible, the written Word. The greatest revelation is the God/Man, Jesus Christ, the Living Word. As it says in Scripture, “God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world” (Hebrews 1:1-2). His creation, including us, is His unwritten natural revelation that He enables us to observe and thus enables us to comprehend His reality, sovereignty, and universal presence on the condition that “without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). The reward is knowing Jesus Christ “in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3).
Okay. That’s deep enough. These thoughts overwhelm my spirit, and I exalt His holy name for letting us know about Him. GLORY!
