Precious Death?

Precious Death?

Lately, the loved ones of some of my friends have departed this life and, understandably, this causes much grief and sometimes despair. God has allowed me to experience heavy grief and despair (loss of parents, wife, & siblings within 6 years) and used it to help me empathize more with others. I always find comfort in God’s word which I believe with all my heart, concentrating on its comforting truths. The following is what I shared with a dear brother whose 93-year-old grandmother departed this life:

(My brother), I lifted up you and your family in prayer for strength, comfort, peace, and joy. It seems ironic, but in the eyes of the Lord, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His godly ones" (Ps. 116:15). Thus, the homegoing of saints is a blessing, especially from heaven's perspective (Rev. 14:13). While our hearts are momentarily grieved, our loved ones in glory are rejoicing before our Lord's throne. Be encouraged. We'll join them one day 🙌🏾🙏🏾❤️.”
