My Resolve in the Midst of Social Confusion

It’s very difficult to get people, including many Christians, to acknowledge God’s sovereignty when they are so obsessed with the negatives of life and harbor so much resentment, particularly Blacks against white people and against Blacks who disagree with them. They have no clear perception of truth, and that’s frightening! I sometimes wonder if this is what Paul meant when he wrote about “strong delusions” or “a deluding influence” (2 Thess. 2:11). For the unsaved, it’s permanent lostness (v. 12); for the believer, it’s blindness and bondage (2 Tim. 2:24-26). I can only wonder about that. I have resolved to continue looking to God by looking into His word, calling upon Him in prayer, engage in the work of the Great Commission, all the while looking forward to Christ’s coming for His church. That’s the best way to prevent contemporary radical ideologies (logical but full of falsehoods) from influencing me. God’s word, the whole truth, is my guide (Ps. 119:105).

Blessings to you and M.
