My Pain Over the Church; The Need for Spirit-filled Believers

A dysfunctional church is a painful reality we're facing in this country and throughout the world. Most painful is that the church is deliberately negligent and by default compromising with the world. It's main focus is "bigness" - big buildings, big budgets, big memberships, and big egos. My heart aches for the Lord's church. As I read Rev. 2-3, it saddens me that the Lord complimented only 2 out of 7 churches. Church history shows that things really never got better since its inception except for some brief periods of revivals in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America. Even so, the devil always seem to brainwash the church into aligning itself with his immoral and murderous tactics. As believers, we must show the world that we really know Jesus, trust His word, are sharing His grace, and have strong convictions about what's right and wrong. While the Holy Spirit is still in the world, He wants to impact it through us (John 16:7-11). So, let’s “be filled with the Spirit”

(Ephesians 5:18).

Blessings!
