MLK’s Accomplishments, Good or Bad?

A brother asked, was MLK’s activities of God or the devil’s?

My reply:

“I will say there’s no biblical support for any public demonstrations, but history has shown that, in the sovereignty of God, relative good has resulted from demonstrations, revolutions, and even riots (e.g., ethnic relations, America’s inception, the Civil War aftermath, after the Watts’ riots, etc.). Of course, we don’t always understand God’s purpose for these things, but we see clearer in the aftermath. In his sovereignty, God puts together the puzzle pieces of this life as He has planned in eternity past (read Job 38 and 39. Lengthy but worth it). It’s mysterious to us, but we can rest assured that God knows what He is doing. MLK’s efforts resulted in a large measure of good, but not in a perfect country. Sin still reigns here and all over the world (Rom. 5:12). And, God eternally reigns over the universe.”

Blessings!
