(https://pulpitandpen.org/2020/01/07/understand-the-new-tgc-orthodoxy-on-gay-christians/). To me, many “evangelicals” (even those with broad biblical knowledge) are caving in to unbiblical ideologies and are infiltrating local churches. It’s a historic problem
(2 Peter 2:1-2; Jude 4). But not only local churches, they’re also in Christian magazines like Christianity Today, para-church ministries like CRU, denominations the Southern Baptist, Episcopalians, and Presbyterians, not to mention Bible schools and seminaries, etc. These entities have drifted from biblical truth.
So, what’s left? Only deception by way of Satan’s use of delusion and virtuality (the offsprings of postmodernism). He’s overwhelming us with the “laptop world.” Paul wrote, “…for we are not ignorant of his (Satan’s) devices”
(2 Cor. 2:11b). Unfortunately, too many “evangelical” leaders ARE ignorant!
What has always been essential for us as church leaders to do is to “give ourselves continually to prayer and the ministry of the word” (Acts 6:4). Without these, churches gravely suffer and become nauseating to the Lord (Rev. 3:16).
Lord, have mercy on us. 😔🙏🏾
