How Powerful is God’s Word?

How Powerful is God’s Word?

God’s Word, being absolute truth, is the most powerful source on earth (Heb. 4:12). An unsaved person must hear it to acquire faith (Rom. 10:17; Eph. 1:13;

2 Tim. 3:15). It’s amazing, though, that people can read and hear the Word without receiving faith toward salvation.

Most cult members (of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons, Christian Science, Jim Jones, etc.) have read and heard the Bible, but never came to faith. However, they are very religious. Well, what kept them from believing? Read 2 Cor. 4:3-4. Unsaved folks who preach & teach the Bible don’t know the substance of what they’re teaching (1 Tim. 1:5-7). God’s Word is always powerful no matter who preaches it and can generate saving faith, but unsaved folks are not capable of spiritually understanding the Word (1 Cor. 2:14). Many entertainers are like that. They “have a form of godliness…they have denied its power” (2 Tim. 3:5). Little Richard (though deceased), among many, is a prime example. In conclusion, God’s powerful Word will always accomplish His will (Isaiah 55:9-11). It needs to be preached, taught, believed, and practiced.

Blessings!
