God’s Omnipotence – Unlimited Power

It is necessary for God to have unlimited power. If not, then something or someone else would be more powerful than God. That’s impossible! God’s power is so great that if all the water on earth (oceans, rivers, lakes, streams, etc.) represented it, one tiny drip would be far more than enough to create the heavens and the earth (Gen. 1:1). God even has power over death which is called “The last enemy” (1 Corinthians 15:26). Because of sin, death is the condition in which all men are born (Ps. 51:5: Rom. 5:12). No man can deliver himself from death (Eccl. (8:8). The main idea of death is separation. Sin is the cause of spiritual separation from God (Isa. 59:2), separation of the body and spirit (James 2:26), and eternal separation from God (2 Thess. 1:8-9; Rev. 20:15). God has the power to save from spiritual death (Eph. 2:1), to deliver from physical death (John 11:43-44), but He wills not to save those who are eternally dead because they are eternally unholy Rev. 21:8). These include those who die without faith in Christ (John 3:18-19; 8:24), the devil (Rev. 20:10), and demons which are fallen angels (Luke 8:30-31). Thank God for His omnipotence and that by His power He is securing the saints in salvation (1 Peter 1:3-5).

Blessings!
