Evangelizing in the Face of Challenges

Acts 13 begins the third outline of 1:8 – “even to the remotest part of the earth.” What I take away from that is just as the Holy Spirit had empowered Saul and Barnabas for the challenges of being missionaries in dangerous pagan regions, He has already empowered us to face similar challenges today. The important thing is that we need to stay mindful of our purpose to spread the gospel no matter what happens. As Paul wrote, “Just as it is written, “ For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered. But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:36-37). The work of evangelism must go in in the power of the Holy Spirit in spite of challenges.

Blessings!
