Ethnic Oneness in Heaven

Ethnic Oneness in Heaven

Scripture stresses our oneness in Christ - "For you are all sons and daughters of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Gal. 3:26-28).

However, Scripture doesn't disregard the believers' ethnic distinctions (Acts 13:1). All true believers should be able to worship the Lord together on earth. However, this is not possible with a bigoted and unforgiving heart. Since all of us as believers (red, yellow, brown, black, and white) have been forgiven and are indwelled with the Holy Spirit, we should be willing to worship the Lord in spirit and truth with any of our fellow believers, regardless of their ethnicity. In fact, ethnic distinctions will continue in heaven. The Greek word for “nations” is “ethnoi” (ethnicities), referring to various ethnic groups (Rev. 21:24). Notwithstanding, certain worship styles on earth are preferred, and some are not, but that shouldn't cause us to break ranks with our fellow believers. We need to consider that in heaven we'll all worship the Lord the same way just like the living creatures, the 24 elders, and the angels (Rev. 5:11-14). Praise God that heaven will definitely not have this world's mess up there (Rev. 21:3-8; 22-26; 22:3-5, 14). Look up the passages I've provided. I believe you'll find them insightful.

Blessings!
