Although Pat and I get stressed out substituting, thankfully we can work by choice. We’re enjoying life as "old folks" living like young folks, having traveled to Oklahoma City, upper state New York (where we caught COVID), Dallas, Africa (Kenya), and Orlando, the most traveled year of our lives. All was related to serving the Lord. We're grateful that He provided all we needed, especially to face challenges along the way. We're primarily focusing on the incarnation, that is, the miraculous conception of our Lord Jesus Christ in the womb of the Virgin Mary (Luke 1:35). We also acknowledge the natural birth of Jesus 9 mos. later (Luke 2:7). That helps us stay mindful of the true meaning of Christmas. I pray that you relax and enjoy the season, whether you’re young, middle age, or old. May the Lord "renew your strength" (Isaiah 40:31) so that you may be spiritually, mentally, and physically refreshed when 2022 arrives.
