There’s a lot of crazy interpretations of Scripture, even among Bible scholars.
Many of them believe Genesis 1-3 are mythical accounts. That’s why evolution is popular with them, and sin is just a social aberration. Gender distinctions are just artful expressions of ancient varieties which over time naturally “blossomed” to include LGBTQ. And, the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah was inhospitality. Mythical interpretations also leads them to believe abortion is healthcare, fornication is recreational, adultery legitimizes part-time love, and stealing is justified by fees, dues, and unjust taxes. And, they say, if you believe all the above are wrong, you are grossly misinterpreting or misunderstanding the facts of life. They fail to see that truth (the Bible) dispels myths and liberates from deception which is Satan’s favorite weapon. Jesus said,
“If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:31-32). That should be easy to interpret. Blessings!
