Christian Freedom With Certain Limitations

Christian freedom: 1 Cor. 6:12; 10:23; Certain limitations: Romans 14:13-23. 1 Cor. 8:4-13; 10:27-27. From those passages, I understand that as a Christian I am free to do whatever I desire just as long as I’m not hindering a sinner from coming to Christ and not causing a weak (immature) believer to backslide. That’s the way I handle anything that, though not a sin, is still questionable to believers. Such things I would do far away from the sinner and the immature believer. Attending a deacon friend’s wedding anniversary last year, I was reluctant to dance with my wife who kept begging. She loves to dance. So, I gave in. But, I took courage when I saw other CONSERVATIVE brothers dancing. I won’t name names. As far as I know, no one was disillusioned by me and, hopefully, didn’t commit sin because of me. If any brother or sister can’t handle it to see me having sinless fun, I’d rather refrain (1 Cor. 8:12-13). Otherwise, the fun is on.

Blessings!
