Christ Makes a Difference

I (and we) have to live in a sinful world and struggle with my (our) sinful flesh (Rom. 7:14-25). Like Paul, I can say, “I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it (the resurrection) yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:13-14). If I get too focused on my ethnicity, I’d forsake Christ and be prejudice against all nonblacks and probably become a Black Muslim. i.e., I’d be crazy. But my biblical worldview keeps me focused on Christ, my redeemer, my righteousness, my wisdom, and my strength. I’m not gonna let this sinful world blind me of that. Like MLK, I have the strength to love folks whom I would prefer to detest. It’ll be so much easier to do

“When we all get to heaven.

What a day of rejoicing that

will be.”
